Join us in our mission to
reduce heart disease and diabetes in South Asians
Thanks to our generous supporters, we have educated the community, improved lifestyle habits and reduced risk, trained physicians, and built the largest research cohort of healthy South Asians. With hundreds of dedicated volunteers, the Center is making a difference to our community health, one participant at a time.
Meet Ravi Rajan. He was referred to us by a physician, and diligently incorporated the Center's registered dietician's recommendations. In barely three months, he saw signs of his diabetes reversing and his doctor took him off insulin.
Your support helps build a healthier local community, right here where you live and work. Additionally, you help fund growth along all our strategic initiatives which have a far reaching national and even global impact.
El Camino Hospital’s funding covers administrative and personnel costs. The hospital also provides fundraising, marketing, facilities and IT support. Participants cover the costs of their advanced laboratory tests.

In 2014, based on the success of our program of improving lifestyle for reducing risk, South Asian Heart Center has taken on the initiative to establish more centers in cities with dense South Asian populations, in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Center is raising capital funds for this expansion and seeking major gifts. Download our Case for STOP Diabetes Download our Case for Expansion.
